—* O'Connell rBevnarat Memorandum Re: HEARNAP Pennsylvania farm." Mr. and Mrs. Scott never owned a motel in Las Vegas or anywhere. They do, however, manage a small apartment complex in Las Vegas which is probably being confused with amotel. Nevertheless, our investigation cannot prove or refute that the alleged fugitive stay occurred as above. The New York City apartment in question is located at 317 West 90th Street. There is no other suspect apartment. (See O'Connell to Gebhardt memorandum dated 2/11/75.) The remainder of the release appears to be conjecture. 7. UPI dated 3/16/75 reported: "A "Chicago Tribune’ Sunday reported (William) Harris' fingerprints have been found ,in-a New York City apartment rented and then abandoned by writer | and sports critic Jack Scott in September." This is not true. The New York Office has never obtained any latents of value necessary for comparison since there have been two subsequent occupancies of this apartment after Scott abandoned same. The apartment also has been painted at least twice since Scott's occupancy. ACTION: For information. J & wh a HI \
