Attached San Francisco (SF) teletype summarizes current investi-~
gative direction in this matter. Federal Grand Jury (PGJ} subpoenas
served on Phabip Kent Shinnick {Jack Scott associate and harboring
suspect) and Louise Scott (Jack Scott's mother) for appearance 4/10/75
at SF. Both declined FBI interview upon being served.
John Joseph Scott (Jack's father) appeared before FGJ, SF 3/20/75,
and invoked Fifth Admendment, refusing to testify. He was instructed
to return 4/Jdb/75. He then gave press interview declaring his, in- ~
nocence and "FBI witch hunt" against the Scott family.
Several friends of harboring suspect Jay Weiner advised latter
freely discussed farmhouse (Honesdale, PA) meeting with Patricia
Hearst, Emily and William Harris and Wendy Yoshimura. Yoshimura
is now a Federal fugitive. Alameda County, CA authorities requested
UPAP (Possession of Firearms, Bomb and Explosive Devices) assistance; -
complaints filed 3/14/75, Oakland, CA, with recommended bond $50,000.
SF also advised Anne Randolph Hearst hearing before U. S. Magistrate,
Buffalo, NY, has been adjourned and she may be allowed to Plealto
lesser charge as a youthful offender. a
Philadelphia Office advised the 1968 Volxswagen reported stolen
New York City, 9/6/74, by Micki Scott, recovered 9/19/74, by PA
State Police (PSP), Honesdale, PA. Vehicle subsequently declared
total loss by insurance company and cash settlement made to Micki
Scott. PSP advised nothing of evidentiary value located in vehicle
when recovered and vehicle sold for Salvage to Apex West, Nanticoke,
PA. Vehicle examined by BuAgents 3/21/75, at Apex where it has
been since 11/11/74, and found in stripped condition. Several items
of unknown investigative value removed from vehicle submitted to
FBI Laborator

that Patricia Hearst, Jack Scott and (FNU) Ayers, a Weatherman fugitive,
were staying at the farm outside of Portland, Oregon.
PD Office advised as revoluntary ties and owns

investigation.
