Specimens received 3/2 8/75 .
K95 +30 Carbine caliber U. S. Carbine, Model M2,
Serial Number 7148579
Result of examination:
Test bullets and cartridge cases obtained from the .
K95 weapon were microscopically compared to the .36 caliber \
bullets, bullet fragments and cartridge cases previously
submitted in this case without effecting an identification.
An inspection of the K95 weapon revealed no 4. \
modifications similar to those noted on the four .30 caliber», -¢.
carbines recovered from the debris of the burned residence -_ va
at 1466 East 54th Street, Los Angeles, California, {the scene Voo¥
of the May 17, 1974 shoot-out). It is noted that these weapons \', ‘~
were .30 caliber U.S. Carbines, Model Ml, which had been wodified’
80 as to permit them to deliver only controlled full-automatic - \

The K95 weapon is a .30 caliber U.S. Carbine, Model!’
M2, which is capable of delivering either semiautomatic or ;
full-~automatic fire. Therefore, this weapon comes within the.
purview of the National Firearms Act. . 4
