It vas re- emphasized tnat this inquiry was being made in a criminal in- vestigation and that any political or social ideology to which he and SCOTT may have or share are not the subject of tnis investigatic SBHINNICK stated that he would not furnisu information concerning SCOTT without first having SCOTT's permission and ~ suggested that evea with such permission, he may not then furnish such information. as The suggestion was made that SHINNICK recousider his ~~ position concerning an interview regarding SCOTT. The contacting Special Agents furnished their names and the Newark FBI Office telephone number to SHINNICK in the event he desired to contact them. SHINNICK was also informed that the Special Agents’ desired to recontact him in the near future.
