Differences were observed in comparing the hand 2
printifg on Q172 with the hand printing on the previously :;
‘submitted menila envelopes, Q63, Q48 and Q45, It is noted.”
that the Q172 envelope 1s approximately the same size and —~
color as the previously submitted 963, Qu8 and-Qks envelopes.
Some general resemblances” were observed in comparing -
the handwritten notation in the lower left conner. of Q172 with
the available writing of EMILY HARRIS. However, the available
comparable writing of HARRIS for comparison is too limited for
adequate comparison. It wkil be neceasary to have- additional —
‘writing by HARRIS showing the same letters and letter combina-F:...
tions before an adequate comparison can be made. "

Nothing of particular significance was observed in _.
comparing the questioned writing on Q172 with the comparable. °
available known writing or purported kmown writing of other suspects
previously submitted in this and the SLA cases. oe
As the Laboratory has previously noted with regard to.
other questioned typewritings submitted in this case, the
questioned typewriting on Q163 through Q171, Q20 through Q23 an
Q32 through Q39 contains few individual identifying characteris-
tics, and therefore, definite identifications with known § ““.
typewriter or typewriters may not be possible.
As previously advised, some similarities were observed
in comparing the available writing of CAMILLA HALL with the
"Janet Cooper" signatures on previously submitted car rental
forms in this case. Also, HALL cannot be eliminated as having =.
been involved in the preparation of the questioned handwritten ‘i
notation on the Q172 envelope, previously submitted. The
- available writing of HALL does not contain sufficient hand
printing for adequate comparison with hand printing on items
previously submitted in these cases. Nothing of particular
significance was observed in comparing the available handwriting
of HALL with other unidentified questioned writing on items
submitted in this case, the SLA case and the ASGM case.
! San Francisco and recipient offices should continue
tofbe alert to obtain additional handwriting and hand printing ©
