01522 Charred cartridge
Result of examination:
Specimen 91522 is a charred .30 Carbine caliber
cartridge: The “PC 42" headstamp indicates this cartridge
was Originally manufactured for military use by the Peters
Cartridge Company, Kings Mill, Ohio. It is noted that the
primer and gunpowder portions of this cartridge are missing.
The lead core of the bullet is also missing and the nose of
the bullet appears to have been hollowed out.
. No residues of cyanide were found:-in the Q1522
cartridge. .
Specimen 01522 bears no marks of value for identification
purposes.
