The letter refers to a quote attributed to SAC Charles Bates of the San Francisco Office which appeared in the June 8-14, 1974, issue of TV Guide magazine. og connec- The quote, “I wish to God we had that broad’ tions," allegedly was made in reference to Gerityn: investigative reporter for television station KQ - Francisco.
