me At approximately 4:30 p bom., on May 16, lon, a

Hshaw Boulevard at the intersection of Imperial Highway, ° .
She came upon a group of men having a fight in the street, ,
She stopped her car to avoid rurming over the men and they -
continued their fight right by her right front wheel, She Lo
noted that all three men were Caucasian and two of them were — |;
wee fighting with the third. She noticed a white female standing
oe on the sidewalk and another white male holding her. The white
ak ' female was struggling to get away but the male was holding’ her

* sat in her car observing the three men
roll-around on e street in front of her for what seemed like
several minutes. One man had a pair of handcuffs and was
attempting to put them on one of the other men. During the
course of the fight one of the men produced a weapon and the
other men took it away from him. The man with the handcuffs
succeeded in getting a cuff on one wrist of the man who had
produced the gun. After the gun was taken away from the man
things quieted down a little and the two men struggled to Bet the
-ecuff on the third man's other wrist,

.""s" ° started to Leave the scene. Just as her car passed the men she
ke. heard a string of shots being fired which. sounded to her like a
Pel machine gun. She looked in the direction of the shots and saw
7 a Volkswagen van, which had a white top and red bottom, parked
in the parking lot across from Mel's Sporting Goods Store. The
van was on the east side of Crenshaw, facing west.
realized that the shots had come from the van, She saw a weapen
sticking out the window of the driver's door of the van. She
