RR i>. furnished the following information: He advised that in the late afternoon of May 16, 1974, he was in the back of his store when he heard what appeared to be machine gun fire and went immediately to the front of the store to observe what was happening. He stated he saw a new van with temporary license plates on the back window parked in an the shopping center parking lot directly across from his store. ae He advised the van was red and that he believes it was a Volks- gtr, wagen type van. He advised he also observed a white male getting JOR. into the van, but could not get a good look at his face and could ae - furnish no details concerning his clothes or other personal ee effects. He did advise he thinks the man had a beard and light . brown hair. He also observed what he thought to. be a black fe-~ ar male with an "Afro" also get into the truck, but could furnish . ro. no other details concerning the female, He stated that at that 45... point he left the area and went into the store and observed no Re further activities. He did advise that he observed the van gotst driving east through the shopping center parking lot.
