[oh =“"NanTiRVS stated his 196 Ford van was parked in the driveway of his home witha "for sale” sign on May 16, 1974. ~ At about 7:00 PM MATTHEVS' brother, BOB, advised him that a - woman was out looking at the van and seemed to be interested in it. He proceeded to the door and was met by a white female, 25 to 30 years, 5'6" tall, medium build, .short brown hair, longer in the back, wearing a dark brown or black shiny leather jacket with hiking boots. . A photograph spread of eighteen pictures was displayed and he immediately picked the photograph of EMILY MONTAGUE . HARRIS as the female that he met at the door. - She, the individual identified as EMILY HARRIS, informed him that she was interested in his van and wanted to test drive it. MATTHEWS was agreeable and they got into the van, she in the driver's seat and he in the passenger's seat. She started the van and drove west on Pendleton Street and turned north on Pine Street. She stopped just as she made the turn and said, "There's two of my friends and maybe they want to come along," referring to the two individuals Seated in the vehicle across the street which he recalled as a 1964 or 1965 light blue four-door Ford station wagon. The couple, one male and a female, exited the station wagon and approached the van. ; The male, whom MATTHEWS described as a white male, 2> to 50 years of age, 5'8" tall, 155 to 160 pounds, short bleached or peroxided blond hair, with a brown Fu Manchu moustache, opened his door and displayed what appeared ta be an automatic weapon under his right arm. He then stated, "We're with the SLA and we need to borrow your car."
