working with an eleven yar old German Shepherd dog known as
Wied, which had been primed with the scent of EMILY HARRIS
daily sinee April 26, 1974.

After being given the command to search, the dog
“Wied searched the sre outside the residence at 2520 Outpost,
Los Angeles, California, using a criss-cross search pattern,
and found no scent of EMILY HARRIS,
The dog then went next door to 2530 Outpost and,
using the same procedure, searched the sutsice area of that
building, which appeared to be vacant at the time. At the
top of the driveway, which is a large flet area leeding to
three open gerages or carports, the dog came to a sitting
position at numerous locations, indicating that the scent of
EMILY HARKIS was present,
