"On or about May 7, 1974 the residence 833 West
84th Street was put up for rent. On May 10, 1974,
I got a telephone call from an unknown female
inguiring about the 833 residence. fI told her it
was still for rent. A short time later, approximately
3:00 p.m., a white female, Susan Rivera, came to
my residence inguiring about the rental of 833.
I recognized the voice and asked her if she had
just called on the telephone. She replied yes.
Rivera claimed she wanted to rent a residence for
herself and her husband, who was employed as a
painter. I took Rivera to the 833 address an@ did
not observe any vehicles she might have used for
transportation nor did I see anyone that may have
accompanied her. :
"She walked through the residence which was
unfurnished. She asked me unusual guestions about
the back entrance, the backyard, the residence over
the back fence, etc. She indicated that it would
be alright, except it had no stove _or refrigerator.
I told her that I knew a man named

x her cheap. I contacted and
introduced him to Rivera at the 833 address at
which time he agreed to provide Rivera with a stove
and refrigerator for $60.00. Rivera gave him
$30.00 and agreed to pay the remaining xayment two
or three days later and gave it ee
"I left the 833 address after QAM had
delivered the appliances. Susan Rivera was a white,
female, age 28, 5'5", slendex, long brown hair,
very polite, wore a brown outfit, brown coat,
outdoor clothing, ruddy complexion, no makeup or
jewelry.
"She paid $35.00 cash for two weeks and said
her husband would pay balance later. Before
arrived with the appliances another white female
arrived and I asked her name and she said her nane
was Susan also. I said I didn't believe that and@
I said I would call her "Sue". “Sue” was
