EXAMINATION DESIRED | ‘It is requested’ that the enclosed ammunition and its containers be examined for latent finger- prints and that if any fingerprints are developed they be compared with those of members of the SLA, ips which individuals are known to the Identification Division from previous examinations requested. The FBI Laboratory. is requested to examine the enclosed live ammunition for any tool markings ¢ . vhich might indicate that the ammmition has been ‘'j' in weapons recovered following the SLA shoot out in Los Angeles, California or from items of evidence recovered at crime scenes where SLA was involved. It is requested that the enclosed "BBs" be examined and if possible an observation be given i, as to whether they are the type used in air rifles or if they could have been removed from a load of . a shot gum round. - The enclosed items should be treated as evidence and after the examination is complete they. should be ~ returned to San Franciscoalong with the results of the examination.
