RE: JOHN COLT, REPORTER ig Possipty ter Dv The success in avoiding apprehension by the Mk Harrises and Hearst to date’may=be attrib- utable to assistance rendered by the anti- establishment underground, which provided assistance to other fugitives during the Vietnam War controversies. It would appear that the guidance and pro- tection of the Harrises, the underground, or other street-wise persons would be necessary in order for Patricia Hearst to continue her fugitive status, in view of the fact that prior to the kidnaping she had no experience in this type of survival tech- nique. After the shoplifting incident in Los Angeles, both William and Emily Harris, accompanied by Patricia Hearst, are known to have abducted Richard Frank Sutter. He was subsequently released unharmed. On May 17, 1974, the Symbionese Liberation Army shoot-out with law enforcement personnel occurred, which did not involve Patricia Hearst or the Harrises., On May 19, 1974, two reported sightings of Patricia Hearst and Emily Harris occurred in the Sherman Oaks area of Los Angeles, which appeared to have credence, The chances of the FBI apprehending Patricia Hearst and the Harrises increase, rather than decrease, with each passing day, because of the tenacity and professionalism of the men and women in the FBI. Patricia Hearst will be located, of that there is absolutely no doubt. While their location may not occur today, or perhaps even tomorrow, it will occur. .
