He said he is in the final stages of writing | a report which the Subcommittee will soon issue dealing with the Weatherman and he wanted to include this rumor in the report if there is any possibility whatever that it may have some validity. He asked if we might be able to give any guidance in that regard. A check was made with Special Agent Michael Morrow of the General Investigative Division who advised that we had no indication that Hearst and Dohrn had been seen in the Chicago area or anywhere else. Sourwine was 1 s0 advised on 9-18-74. . i On 9-20-74 William Reed of the Director's Office reported that Vince Rakestraw, Assistant Attorney General, Office of Legislative Affairs, had _ told him that Sourwine had questioned Rakestraw on 9-18-74 about the possibility ’ that Hearst and Dohrn had been seen together in the Chicago area. SA Morrow advised on the morning of 9-20-74 that the Chicago Office has reported it has received no reports whatever of Hearst. and Dohrn being seen together. It should be noted Bowers saw Sourwine on the afternoon of 9-19-74 concerning another inquiry from him dealing with the Weatherman report he is preparing, and he did not mention at that time the rumor about Dohrn and Hearst. ; , f RECOMMENDATION: fal @ ef. | For informati fey 10n. 1 - Mt.
