By communication dated September 13, 1974,
the Louisville Office advised FDDIE C. SPARKMA? was
arrested by Federal Marshals at Lexington, Kentucky
Courthouse on September 4, 1974 on an arrest warrant
issued by U. S. Magistrate FSTHFR MIX on August 26,
1974, charging violation Title 18, U. S. Code, Section er
922(A) (6), False Representation and Disposition of
Firearms. SPARKMAN appeared at a hearing before U. S. ”
Magistrate DAVID R. IRVIN, Lexington, Kentucky, September
12, 1974, and was ordered to report to the U. S. District
Court, astern District of California, on September 23,
1974, lie is presently free on $5,000 bond.
On September 12, 1974, FODIF C. SPARKMNAN
advised that he did not wish to make any Statement in
view of his hearing on September 23, 1974.
By communication dated September 26, 1574,
the Sacramento Office advised that the records of the
Clerk of the Court, Eastern District of California,
Sacramento, as checked on September 26, 1974, reflected
that SPARKHAN appeared on September 23, 1974 before
U. S. District Court Judge PHILIP P. WILKINS, at
Sacramento, and entered a plea of Not Guilty. He appearec
before U. S. District Court Judge THOMAS J. MAC BRIDI on
September 24, 1974, and jury trial was set for January 20,
1975. He was released on bond and returned to his hore
in Kentucky.
