ity ) SP 7-855 MAH: smg {The following shipment has been previously reported by the FBI at Detroit and is now under investi- gation by FSI, San Francisco: ) 8 - M-16 Al Rifle, Sear Pins 4 - M-16 Al Rifle, Sears and Springs i 1 - M-16 Al Rifle, Disconnector Spring 2 - M-16 Al Rifle, Hammer Springs 1 -“M-16 Al Rifle, Chamber Brush ATF agent SY +02 Angeles, California, who helped to prepare e detailed firearms report on the recovered SLA .30 caliber U.S. Carbines modified to fire full automatic advised that some of the above shipped M-2 -30 caliber U. S. Carbine parts are consistent with those parts used in the full automatic modification on the four carbines recovered from the SLA confrontation, specifically M=-2 Magazine Catches, M-2 Sears and one M-2 Trigger Housing were found in recovered carbines. On July 23, 1974, ATP acer iy presented the above facts to U. S. Attorney BROWNING, in charge of the Federal Grand Jury investigating the SLA in fan Francisco. USA BROWNING was interested in this information and requested that ATF, Detroit, attempt to obtain additional information from the H&R Surplus Company. In addition, ATF Age eported that he and Inspector Intelligence Detail, San Francisco, Califérnia Police Department were present at a gunshow held on February 3, 1973 at San Jose, California . where known Venceremos Organization (VO) people purchased quantities of ammunition and firearms.
