tr ~. g. . im | Memorandum Bates © Gebhardt | @ Re: HEARNAP; Intensive efforts continue to fully identify and interview past associates of the remaining SLA fugitives, This aspect of the case has surfaced several suspected associates of William and Emily Harris who have or have had affjliations with radical groups such as: Venceremos; Students for a Democratic Society; May Day Activists at Washington, D. C., 1971; Black Panther Party; Young Social Alliance; and Peace and Anti-Vietnam War Rallies of the early 1970s. The common denominator of association appears -to be centered at Indiana University and/or University of California, Berkeley, wherein at one time or another each of these individuals had an opportunity to become acquainted through their radical philosophies. The Department is being advised of all subsequent | developments in this case on a continuous basis.
