He sees them ticing in with individuals who may already have an organization, oF individuals who have credibility. with the new Left movement Che used the example of someone like JOAN BAEZ, singer and omtiewar activist of the 1960's). He feels that the next time the SLA is heard from it will be via some urban guerrilla-type of tactic, a hit . and run situation, in which they will attempt to show that F "the mon" or the establishment is very vulnerable. Aa example of this tactic weuld be the knockinr out of a power station or destruction of a building, Random killing of Law enforce- ment officials or the other “Meonicmies' of the SLA is viewed to. be an unlihely tactic. They consider themselves the true patriots, the Lost defenders of the Constitution, and they must fight the catablishment to the death, voli Ora, wers cenback The rebuilding of the SLA at this point centers around the three original inembers (WILLIAM and EMILY HARRIS and PATR{C1iA HEARST) as symbolic leaders, with the deceased members of the SIA as martyrs. He finds no weakness in the remaining three members not. feeling guilty about the deaths of the others. Since they do not fcel responsible for the deaths of the others, any tactic of law enforcement aimed at working on a guilt will not yield results. On the contrary, they feel proud of the deaths. That is, they ° feel that their comrades have fallen in battle, the most noble gesture, and they will use that as a concept and tactic for retrenchment.
