The FB! and the public together can do something. | can assure you that the FBI is sparing no effart to bring these three to the bar of justice, and will continue to do so. And we wil! succeed in our Search. | can't say where or when, but I can say thal we will find Patty Hearst and the Harrises. With full public cooperation in this matier, that day will come ever so much sooner, This is not a new appeal tor public cooperation, !n fact, much of the credit for the apprehension of the 38,000 fugitives from justice for the twelve months ending in June can be directly attributed to the public's cooperation and concern. This cooperation has manitested ttsetf in the public's providing us with literally hundreds of thousands of tips. Two of these men once listed on the Ten Mosi Wanted Fugitives list were caught Decause people Coming through the Bureau on a tour recognized Pictures exhibited as someone they had recently seen. We need this sort of cooperation again. | appeal to you, the AA- GOSY reader, to contact us if you think you have information which could assist us in our quest to capture Patty Hearst and William and Emily Harris. The FB} has buiit its reputation through sound and solid pertor- mance. it was only through this performance that we could hope to gain both your support and that of the media. But, as you know, when you're talking about credibility anc general prestige, you Gan go just so far with publicity. Then you've got to perform. We realize we must succeed in the Hearst case and we will. We've already expended much time and effort On this case and will Continue to pursue it until that time when we succeed.
