Resume Of Investigative Activities Conducted by Salt Lake City Division During the month of January, 1975, Salt Lake City has been conductine investigation which has been occasioned by \ numerous reported "sightings” of PATRICIA HEARST and the HARRISes \ To date these inauiries have all been resolved but there has been no indication that the fugitives ir this matter have in fact been ighted in this area. Regular contact has beer maintained with officers of intelligence divisions of the Salt Lake City FD and the Salt Lake County SO, and with informants and sources of this area. Nothing pertinent has been determined as a result of these contacts. Salt Lake City will continue active inquiry with these same sources, will insure weapons confiscated by local authorities are properly examined and will continue attempts to determine whether or not political activists in this area may have had any connection with those similar grouds in other sections of the country who might, therefore, be in a position to give assistance in locating the fugitives.
