Mr. Lyle immediately p tas Scked up the telephone and called a Colonel, whose name Ido not recall, stating what I had done, This apbarently hac created a vast excitemen te Mr. Lyle explained to me that this was some type of an underground office and- . the radiation that I had identified in the vhotographs would have had to penetrate an unknown quantity of steel and concentrate, ‘plus several hundred feet of rock, plus the distance te. the airplane, as this tunnel was in the side ofa mountain or hill and was first constructed for atomic bombs. He then handed me three pictures of additional officers and a lady. 1 later learned he had every reason to believe they had never ct been in this tunnel which provided a positive test for accuracy and capability beyond any question. He asked me- if I could find their presence. I told him, using the above described procedure, that all three officers had never been in the tunnel but they had been in front of the tunnel. iir. Lyle calied each officer and made a like statement: "I have a question to ask you. “It is of utmost importance. Please be thoughtful and very careful in what you say. “Iowant to know, if you have ever been in tunnel # 2" The ariswer in all three cases was “No”. Then the question was asked, "Have you “3 ever been. in the front of the tunnel or near its entrance?" “" ot ty All three answers were "Yos", In refere nce to the lady, I located her radiation in the far right ‘edge of the photo- graph and it was confirmed that she had secontly parked
