Federal Employee Security Program Under Executive Order 10450, the FBI is charged with the responsibility of checking through its files the numes and fingerprints of emplovees and applicants inthe Executive Branch of the Federal Government, Although the Civil Service Commission (CSC) and‘or the emploving ageney conducts investiga: tions pertaining to keneral suitability, the FBI conducts investigation where information of a disloval nature is disclosed. Cowis. - These investigations included ciundidates for Judges of the Federal Courts, United Stutes At- torneys and Assistants, and United States Mar- shals, Additionally, investigations were con- ducted at the request of the Aduinistrutive Office of the U. S. Courts regarding candidates for Pro- bation Oiticers, Bankruptcy Judges, U. S. Magis- trates, Federal Public Defenders and Cireuit Court Executives.
