a Of TN oN about the prison leaflet: it's my feoling (though not a all that firmly held) that until bettor alternatives are developed it is usefvl to: turn people on to prison groupy that may have questionable politios but who we don't consider . to po pigs; basically, i trust moet people to see through tneir garbage once they get a handle on what's happenings of cousre, tho thing it points out the most is the need to éevelore really good groups to channel peoples energy into }; the thing i felt tad about Zf on the leaflet was our inebility to check out some of the groups in the tine sraneworx we . se% up to get exny real idea of wiere th¢Z%7 they're coming from; for instance --=thera are obviously two inoz garcia committees for @ reason and we should always try to find | out/enderstand/enalyzes those reasons £0 that we can make & principled political decision atout relating to such groups, apeaking of getting facta straight 4 never have gotten to see your ray ray statemont and don't really understand what went down with mona(?) and EARC's reaction to the statement——= i was out of tovm a couple monts around that time; in a- souewnat related vein since 1 must assume the pigs read and copy all youx mail in and out 1 dontt feol i oan dis~ cuss # lot about the internal workings of various groups =~ this is especially so in @ situation where thelr are internal differences; i feel bad about this but. consider it a necessity, not to put forth a front of false solidarity put rather to prevent the pigs from getting information that con be used divisévely, opportunistically, or ins provacatourish way; most intelligence work is just the collection of sommingly dzmocuous, bits of information whieh, wher*put togethér, give the pigs an amazingly good handle on who knows/thinks what about whom etc.; the trick, , to ne is.%0 mako sure we doen't get paranoid and let revoiu- tionary care prevent us from being cold Z, giving support, and underestimating our position; . ‘
