Reference is made to my memorandum to you dated October 4,
1947, regarding information concerning Hans Eisler, appearing in the
aily Vorker. Further reference is made to your notation thereon, "Were

The Daily Worker on Saturday, Feds 25, 1935, page 3, contained S.
an article regarding a statement that Hene Eisler would give a concert in
Boston, Massachusetts, on the following Sunday. This nevs story wes .
accompanied by a photograph of Hans Eisler peing greeted in New York City.
This photograph has not been referred to in Bureau reports furnished to the
Department.
Te Daily Worker of January 17, 1936, page 4, contained on =,
article entitled, "Eisler’s songs will feature Lenin Meeting." This news °
story was not accomoonied by a photograph. A copy of the report of pe
Special Agent dated October 16, 1946, at Los Angeles, 2.
Celifornia, captioned Hans Eisler, with alieses, Internal Security - R, os
was furnished to the Department. This news article was referred to on
page 15, of that report and ves quoted at length, however, it had not been:
determined at that time that the article was actually contained in the
Deily Wotker, and it is referred to in the report anly es an English language
newspaper article. .
