On September 23, 1958, Mr. Robert Johnson,
Chief of the Passport Legal Division, telephoned me and
advised that the Passport Office is in receipt of a pass=-
port application for Henry A. Wallace, former Vice President.
According to Mr. Johnson, Mr. Wallace was born October 7,
1888 (will be 70 years old this fall) and is now residing
at South Salem,New York. He ts engaged in the plant breeding
business. Mr. Wallace desires to leave New York on October 16
by air to visit Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France.
During his trip he will visit his sister, Madam Bruggmann who
restdes in France. He will also visit corn, gladtola and
carnation breeders tn Europe.
