Everyone is a "Public Speaker." Public Speaking is just a big name for getting up on your feet and telling people what you think. Everyone feels the same when he gives a speech, even the high-powered orators who seem so sure of themselves. Just ask one of them and see what he says. There are 4 good ways to get rid of that "scared" feeling: 1. Know what you want to gay. 2. Presentation of Sreech The best way to learn to speak well is to speak often. There's no substitute for prectice. But there are a few principles and shouts be kept in mind be- speech nna wm nmin ne cause they'll help you tw improve your speech and v Your pPoiny across, 1. Leok at everyons. Unless you Icok et everyone, some people are going to lose interest - they'll feel that you're not talking to them. You've seen speakers who fasten their eyes cn poor Joe in the front row. This just makes Joe uneconforte>le, evd mekes the rest of the people feel that they've bean forgotten and shouldn't really be there, that the speaker is having a private conversat Viwek WA Ue And then there are speakers who will talk to the ceiling or the floor, or to the trees and buildings outside, or to one section of the audience. You've seen speakers like that. And do you remember what vour reaction wes? You started thinking of something else and didn't hear what tho sp2eker was saying. Or, if the speaker became interested in some noise, or passing car, you did too - and forgot what he was saying.
