Memo to Mr. Nichols July 1, 1952 telling him that hts sister had furnished a complete story of thetr activities. Under the ruse of taking him to the Communist farty Head- quarters, Cuvetic got Verner out of the latter's house. They were then surprised by Ferguson and several Canadian policemen. Verner bolted and, in an attempt to escape, jumped into a nearby canal. Cvetic pulled him out and Ferguson and the policemen took him into - custody, Verner then made a confession and it was antictpated that he would testify against the Party. Cuetic then proceeded to his Communist Party school and Ferguson and the policemen Prepared to raid the Communist Party Headquarters in order to recover the stolen documents and secrets furnished to the Party by Verner.
