Now, the last President of Police in Vienna has died, His successor will not be appointed within any time, therefore, the J.C.P.C. has no chairman. This state is an intolereble one. For, we have the duty to. * maintain cur fine work of international Police coop2rat— ion, the result of our common endcavours done since 17 years, , But, for this purpose we need a Chairman. Consider- img that no Police President of Vienna has been appoint-— ed, and the whole Criminal Police of Germany, i.e. the Viennese Police too, being under the command of the Chief of the German Police in Berlin, it geema to be the best way to confer to the Chief of the German Police also the Chairmanship of the J.c.P.c. ad i To be noted that Mr. Manuel poregilatfGie, represent ative of Spain, to the J.C.P.c., has already adopted “pur proposal which was communicated to him some time later. In conformity with the suggestion made by Dr. Bianu =, representative of Rumania to the J.C.P.C., I have the honour to forward to ull the members of the d.0.P.C. the above mentioned proposal asking that they moy be kind enough to let me know their advice within three weeks. ; Kembers who have given no answer will be presumed to have adopted the proposal.
