Dusloux of the International Criminal Polioe Commission has receiwed copies of a number of resclutions which are to be introduced at the forthcoming Annual General Conference in Paris. One of these has as its subject, "The eventual adopticn of a reduction or uniforn sieplif ieation of the ‘Portrait Parle *, The Secretary alsc suggested the possibility that on gcing through this report, the Bureau mipht care tc make suggestions or proposals or. this particular topic during the conference. As you know, the Bureau does nct ues the “Fortrait Parle". system for identifieaticn purposes. Instead, fingerprints anid physical descripticns are relied upon.
