Review, which is the official organ of the International Criminal Police
Commission, has an article which sets out the results of a first meetinc of
the Executive Committee which was held n Paris, France, on November 18 and
19, 1916. .

The Executive Committee after ratifying the internal organization
of the General Secretary's Office, as much from the administrative point of
view as from the police technical point of view, discussed the necessity of
creating a National Office in every Country. You will recall that the
Executive Conference on January 3, 1947, unanimously favored a recommendation
that the Bureav would handle any inquiries within the United States if of
sufficient importance and, if not, could be relayed to the appropriate State
or police azency for handling with a reauest that their report be transmitted
back to the Bureau, who, in turn, would transmit it to the ICFC, The Secretary
General of the ICrc was duly notified.
\ . The Executive Committee discussed a motion presented by Colonel
Muller, relating to the use to be made of the Zurich Broadcasting Station.
The Committee agreed to the principle of a broadcasting network witn a direct
ee, station in Paris. Regarcing tnis sudject, you will recall that in a
Rl communication dated January 21, 1947, Mr. Ducloux disclosed that the ICPC
_ i in Paris was desirous of establishing radio communication with the Bureau.
You will also recall that althouzh the Bureau was favorably Ccispcsed to tnis
Suggestion, before consent was given, it was desired that Wr. Teiford in Faris
contact Mr. Ducloux for more specific information in tais matter. } }.
The Executive Committee decided that the Paris Internat: +i onal
Conference would be held from June 9 to 12, 19h7.
