RE: INTERNATIONAL CROMINAL POLICE CCIMMISSION Radio Commnications Dear Sirt Please refer to Sureau letter of Yareh 17, 1948, advising that the Sureau has decided to withdraw from sarticipation in the T.C.P.c. radio network, and my cablecram #566 of April 25, Sometime ago the Inbessy security efficer, <ron instructions of the State Department, made a survey c® communication facilities available to the Embassy in case of emercency, at which tine the I.C.P.C. radto seteup with the Bureau was explained, and it was pointed out that the Commission had offered their facilities to this office at any tine desired, I am now advised that the I.C.P.C.-Pureau facilities are the only ones now existent between Paris and Vashin-ton except the recular comercial French telegraphic and radio service under ths control of the “Ministry of Post, Telephone and Telecraph, which is now used by all the government agencies in the Embassy; the State Department, diitary Attache, Naval attache, Z.isAe, etc., Sesides this office. he “mbassy has for some tine heen perfectinz plans for evacuation, destruction of records, etc., in case of emercency, “his office, of course, is participating in the plan and arrangements nave Yeen made for the burning of files, codes, etc., as well as in other phases of the program.
