ATCINTERNATIONAL © CRIMINAL POLICE COMAISSION = CONFERENCE, PARIS, FRANCE, FEBRUARY 22 AND 23, 1949 e Q The Bureau's Legal Attache in Paris, France, has advised that the" ——— CPC has i nvited him to attend a conference of interest to the Bureau with meetings to be held February 22 and 23 at Paris. This convention will be made up of representatives of police services from the French, British and American Zones of Germany and from Switzerland and other countries bordering Germany. The purpose of the conference will be to discuss liaison matters, counterfeiting, narcotics, extradition, ete. The Bureau's Legal Attache has stated that unless advised to the contrary he will accept the invitation to attend these meetings which may be of interest to the Surean, =~ a RICOLMENDATION: In view of the Bureau's position as the onty United States member of the ICPC, it is recommended that Mr. Telford be authorized to attend these meetings in the capacity of an observer but instructed to make no commitments.
