To: Legel Attache Paris, France From: Director, FSI Sabjeet; INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL POLICE COMMISSION Reference is mace to your letter of October 27, 1948, which advised that the International Criminal Police Commission desired to establish direct Liaison with other agencies of the United States Jovernment. The Secretary General of the International Criginal Police Commission should be advised that the Bureau is ready, willing and able to expeditiously act in a Liaison capacity between the Commisuion and other law ewforcement agencies of the United States Government. It=te felt that as the activities of the ICPC grow and extend that it will t® negessary to have one clearinghouse in the United States for ICPC activities. Yo Hive a number of law enforcement agencies in the United States belonging to: the: Commission would result in confusion as the activities of the Commission become more extended and would prevent any organisation in the United States being aware of the extent of cooperation between the United States Government and the International Criminal Police Commission. This matter should, of course, be hetdled by you in a discreet 2 mrnner.
