One of the unknown men nudged the other. Both drew pistoly and began shoots tng af the proprietor. A rFelattve cf the bustnessman rushed tn yrom an adjoining room and ran toward the gunmen. He too was killed. wefore leaving, one of the yunsen satd, "I'll make sure he's done." He fired two more shots into the owner's body. The two mon then left the barroom and disappeared up the street. fhis double murder was witnessed by a nusber of people who gave descrptions of the two criminals. The bartender carefully preserved the glasses from which the mon. had been Grinking whisky. At the Fal Laboratory, iatent fingerprints on the glasses were | found and developed. For the next few years many suspects were eliminated because. thetr fingerprints were not tdenttical with those on the two glasses. Finally, after almost three years of investigation, two more trdtvidusls were developed as suspects. Thetr ftngerprints, which were on file tn the Identtftoatton Dtvtston, were compared wtth the latents left on the whisky glasses by the murderers.
