Dear Mir. Hoover;
I have indeed received your letter of April 26th ultino, in
which was enclosed a copy of the letter from Mr. WILLIAM M. WHELAN dated
April 6, 1950. .
By the terms of the latter letter, your representative in New
York informs us that he has had the Secial Commission of the United Nations
take under consideration the extradition plan of the International Criminal
Police, plan which was presented at the Berne (1948) Congress and brought
up again at the Prague (1950) Congress.
I would be grateful to you if you would kindly request Mr.
WHELAN to watch for any development of this question taken at the United ~
Nations and to advise us of it,

Noreover, the copies of this report on. extradition are almost
completely exhaisted. And I can only seni you two coples.
If you absolutely require a certain number, I will be prepared
to issue a new series,
