‘REQUEST TO MEET THE DIRECTOR o
For record purposes, a Mr. Albert J. Schatz called
my office yesterday and advised that he would "just love to come in
and sit down and chat with Mr. Hoover personally." Schatz said he
had nothing particular in mind but that he had always wanted to talk
with the Director. He said he was 65 years old and retired and at
one time worked for the Washington Star Corporation.
It was explained to Mr. Schatz that the Director's
schedule was heavily committed and it was just not possible to give
him any encouragement.
Bufiles wae then checked and, based on background
ju furnished, Schatz was not identifiable in files.
_ : Inasmuch as Schatz was an extremely garrulous
27 individual and only wanted to ''chat}' his call was returned and it was
- 4 explained to him that unfortunately the Director's schedule was such
3 that it was not possible for him to make arrangements to see Mr. Schatz.
