MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR.
tir. Hanson of New York City telephoned and stated Phat
while at police headquarters yesterday afternoon, Special Agent
Jim Amos was informed by Harry Butts, ballistics expert, that it

indicate that a situation had arisen and it was rumored that
Burckman would take Valentine's place.
Mr. Hanson stated that Agent Amos is to be at police heed-
; quarters again today and if any further information is received,
