I have received your very cordial letter
of the 2rd instent. [ a neturelly very beppy to
7 earn that our work for May exceeded that for the
previous month, and that that fact was noticed by
the Bureau. _
iI hope you will pardon the liberty i heve
taken in writing to the Attorney General in refar-
ence to a news story which was published in a lecal
paper a few days age. I would regard it as a cal-
amity if such a change should be made, ani I sin-
cerely hope that it will not be considered.
