Edgar * Hoover, and requesting my advice, The bill authorizes the President to present, in the name of the Congress, a medal of honor to Mr. Hoover in recognition of his work in connection with the apprehension of the saboteurs, and other duties relating to the war effort. This tribute to Mr. Hoover's unusual work, as expressed in the bill, is particularly gratifying to me and I am sure to Mr. Hoover's associates in the Federal Bureay of Investigation and the Department’ of Justice. .
