The Nationa] Union of Detectives and Technical Police join
in the petition of the Mexican Academy of Penal Sciences ani the police
organizations of this city and other branches of the Government that
upon the occasion of the coming Convention of the International Associa-
tion of Chiefs of Police in this capital homage be paid te Mr. Jehn
Edgar Hoover, Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the
United States of america for his brillant cooperatien with the Allied
Wations during the recent World War, as well as for hie valuable and
efficient assistance to the police organizations of this Continent in
the repression of crime, The frieniship which he has for this nation
was in a large part responsible for the selection of Mexico, D. FP. as
the site of the Convention.
Because of the above Mr. President, vwe-respectfully join in
the petition that the decoration "Aguila Asteca® be bestowed upon such
a dignified American who is highly deserving of this distinction,
