Dear Sir; For inclusion in the fund to be paid to the widow oF designated beneficiary of any Special agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Departaamt of Justice, who had contrib- uted to this fund prior to July 80, 1945, and who dies from any cause except self-destruction while e=aployed as a Special Agent, I am forwarding herewith (by CHECK ~ MOME-OREER) the eum of tan dollars ($10.00), made payable to the Chief Cierk of said Bureau, to be included in said fund, Paysent will be mude for death by self-destruction after the Agent bes been « mexber of the fund for tao years. It is understood and agreed that the sum tendered herewith ia a wolantary, gratuitow: contribution to waid fund, which I understand 1a to be aduinistered in the following manners “The Director of the Bureau will appoint a comoittes which shell consider all ssttears per= taining to the acquisition, aafe keeping and expending of paid fund, which committee will recomend appropriate action to the Director of the Bureau in pertinent matters, The Chief Clerk of ssid Bureau shall receive all contributions and account for same to the Director. Upon the death of any Special Agwnt, the appointed committee will consider the case and submit « recommendation to the Director as to ite conclusions.
