RE: BF J * Edgar Hoov er {Type or print plainly) Dear Sir: For inclusion in the fund to be paid to the designated beneficiary of any Special Agent of the FB! who haa previously contributed to this fund and who dies from any cause except seli-destruction while employed as a Special Agent, Tam forwarding herewith (by CHECK - MONEY ORDER) the sum of $10, payable te the Assistant Director, Adminiatrative Division, FBI, to be included in said fund. Payment wili be made for death by self-destruction after the Agent has been a member of the fund fora continuous period of two years. It is understood and agreed that the sum tendered herewith is ¢ voluntary, gratuitous contribution te said fund which I understand js to be administered in the following manner, The Director of the FBI will appoint a committee which shall consider ali matters pertaining to the acquisition, sate keeping and expending of said fund, which committee will recommend appropriate action to the Director im pertinent motters. The Assistant Director of the Administrative Division of the FB] shall receive all contributions and account for game to the Director. Upon the death of any Special Agent who is a member of said fund the appointed committee will consider the case and submit o recommendation to the Director am fo its conclusions. Appropriate inatructions will then be isaued to the Assistant Director of the Administrative Division, directing him te pay to the desiqnated beneficiary the eum of $10,000. The liability of the fund shall not under any circumstances exceed the amount of monies in the fund ct the time any ligbility sboll occur.
