Dear Mr. Hoover:
This moming Governor Harold W, Handley signed
the proclamation designating October 15, 1939 as « Edgar
Hoover Pay" in Indiana. I am forwarding the original of
this proclamation to you under separate cover. The sign-
ing of this proclamation was covered by TV ané press
representatives.
I presented your letter and autographed copy of
your boak to Governor Handley, and he was most appreciative
of your thoughtfulness. He said that he ané his wife had
