of the Board, he was invited by FITCH, who worked in a differsat departuent,
to the latter's home for the purpose of listening to short wave radio
broadcasts from foreign countries, SASSAMAN along with a sroup of pereons
went to FITCH's home one evening at which time FITCH unsucceasfully attempt-
ed to tune in & broadcast from Spain, SA°SAUAW pointed out thet this was
_ during the period of the Spanish Civil “ar. During the evening FITCH
brought up this war and attempted to have vergons present organize parties
end other events for the purpose of raiging funds for the Loyalists,
SASSAMAN felt thet FITCH had tricked him and other persons cresent and
informed ITCH that he wae not interested.
Copies of this letter are being furnished to Went and Philadelphia for
their use in the event that interviews with YERLE R, BE"D and Le My EDOY
are desired,
Unless advised to the contrary the Chicago Office contemplates no further
interviows with persons listed in this letter,
