HELLEBERG (ras) Tne CHARACTER OF CASE PERJURY JAHAM ESPIONAGE - R SYNOPSIS OF FACTS: CLAUDE HEACOCK advised he has not seen sister, GERTRUDE, or LOUIS LEISMAN since 1941 when he refused to loan GERTRUDE money. HBACOCK recalled GERTRUDE married LEISMAN in approximately 1929, and both lived with LHISMAN's mother - on Kernan Avenue in Lorraine Park, Baltimore County, until LEISMAN's mother's death in approximately 1937. Thereafter, the couple resided in a number of rooms and apartments at various unknown locations in Baltimore. UBACOCK knew of no employment for LEISMAN other than with diners at Cockeys-~ ville, Elkridge, and Hagerstown, Md., in the late 1930s and early 1940s. He described LEISMAN as very heavy drinker, ‘disabled veteran of World War I receiving pension, and said he was probably confined at unknown hospital for mental disorder at unknown timg in 1930s. Denied knowledge of LEISMAN's ever testifyifng at any trial or ever having lived on Eutah Place, Baltimore, Md. HEACOCK cooperative, but declined to furnish signed statement as memory of LEISMAN's activities during 1930s very vague and possibly inaccurate. HBACOCK advised he is an operating engineer, em- ployed by the Baltimore Constructing Company, 711 South Central Avenue, Baltimore, Md., and his permanent residence is 911 Second Avenue, Cantonville, Md.,.
