Miss Josephine Ferro, Credit Bureau of Reading and Berks County Inc. on
5/12/55 furnished the records on Paul N. Schaeffer, 526 Washington Street, Reading,
Pa, These records reflect that Paul N. Schaeffer is an Attorney, and he is
approximately 67 to 70 years of age. He is married to the former Helen B, Burkey,
and they reside at 2500 Prospect Boulevard, Pennside, Pa, Paul N. Schaeffer has
office space at 526 Washington Street, Reading.
Paul N. Schaeffer was appointed a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of
Berks County on 10/31/24. Eventually he became President Judge of the Court of
Common Pleas. However, in January of 1946 he resigned from the bench, and he is
presently practicing law. These records indicate that he received a pension since
his retirement from the bench.
These records further reflect that Paul N. Schaeffer was formerly President
of the Historical Society of Berks County, and that he resigned this office in
1937. In addition the records indicate that in 1936 he was President of the
Pennsylvania Conference on Social Work,
