Specimens K741 and K732 were compared with the ALGER HISS
signature appearing on specimen K40 but a definite conclusion could
not be reached inasmich as the writing on K731 and K732 was not
sufficiently comparable. The HISS signatures on K731 and R732 contain
“a Style Of Writing that is more characteristic of his writing in
recent years, and varies teo much from his personal Signature in 1933
for a definite conelusion.
Although the writing on X73] can be identified with the
writing on K3,0 through K342 it cannot by itself be identified with
Specimens K731 and K732 were returned to the Washington
Field Office by special messenger on March 15, 1949. Photographie
copies are retained in the files of the Laboratory.
