August 10 1937 Federal Bureau of investigation Washington,D.C. - Dear sirsj~- Several days ago an aged man was an this locallity who said that he was Jessie°James. He said that he had recently reported to one of the U.S. law inforcement agencies and had been given a full pardon, Now I have no personal interest in this case except that this man says he is getting theatre booking thru this territory, and I beleive that he 4s a full-fledged liar as to his identity.
