Rockefeller, III, announced yesterday the formation of the Asta - Society, an organization to stimulate knowledge and understanding between the United States and the countres of Asia. Hr. Rockefeller, president of the new group; Dr. Grayson L. Kirk, president of Columbia University is chairman of the board of trustees; and Paul C. Sherbert, who returned recently from a 5-year assignment as United States Consul and public affairs officer in India, has heen chosen as executive director.
